HAPPY SABBATH! This is the day that The Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it! A special welcome to our guest speaker Dale Simpson today! As we pray for our worship to be blessed today, let us pray for the Women’s Ministries Conference. May we experience the presence of God as we worship Him!

CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES. Let’s play!!! Children’s Ministries invites parents/caregivers with children to a playdate at the Lee residence on Tuesday, April 24th from 1pm-3pm. Please call or text Maria Lee @760-791-6793 if you’ll join us.

PERSONAL MINISTRIES! Are you interested in knowing how to get involved in a CHURCH MINISTRY? Do you even know what Ministries are available at our church? Well, during this upcoming Church Potluck on April 28, you will have YOUR chance to meet some of our Ministry Leaders. They will have tables set up a the potluck and YOU ARE INVITED to visit them and ask questions and even break bread together. Ministry Leaders are looking forward to discussing how YOU can get involved in their ministry. Please be in prayer for our ministries, as our ministry leaders are in prayer for you!

PATHFINDERS & ADVENTURERS. Pathfinder will have a meeting NEXT Sabbath after church at 2:00 pm.

APRIL CHURCH FELLOWSHIP LUNCH will be on NEXT Sabbath this month (April 28th).

COLLEGEDALE ACADEMY ORCHESTRA will be performing here at Columbia First for vespers on NEXT Sabbath at 6:00 pm. Please come out and support our youth as they use their gifts for God’s glory!

TAKE THE 10 DAY DANIEL TEST! Join a 10-day experiment to prove God’s Word and improve your well- being. From Sunday, April 29 – Wednesday, May 9 eat only a whole food, plant-based diet for 10 days. Blood tests will be provided before and after the 10 days. Sign up at info@columbiafirst.org. Cost $25.

BIBLICAL PRESCRIPTIONS FOR LIFE. Dr. James Marcum’s Biblical Prescriptions for Life will begin for the prayer meeting on Wednesday, May 2 at 7 PM. Those taking the course must inform church via info@columbiafirst.org by Tuesday, April 24. A $10 fee for materials is required. A plant-based dish will be provided each class.

PRAYER MINISTRY. We want to unite in petitioning The Lord on behalf of the needs of our church family and supporting one another in prayer ministry. If you have any prayer requests, call (803) 957-9134. Blessings!

ADHOC/STEERING COMMITTEE has been selected from the top 7 counts from the congregational recommendations. The delegates are Faith Durkin, John Black, John Bettis, Joe Harmon, Myra Kirkland, David Talley, John Harmon. Pray for this committee as they are in the process of making recommendations for the nominating committee for church officers in the new term.

PASTOR JASON OUT OF STATE for the remainder of April. All needs requiring pastoral care for the remainder of April need to be directed to elders John Black and Harry Brown.

SHINE FAMILY BIBLE CAMP – June 12-17, 2018 – Fletcher, NC Would you like your child to develop a passion for sharing their faith? Do you long for him or her to have a heart for evangelism? Bring your family to SHINE, a family camp meeting and spiritual retreat combined in one life-changing weekend! The goal? To ignite the fire of evangelism in our children. ACADEMIC SUMMER CAMPS. Southern Adventist University is hosting 12 camps June 18-20 for high school students. Topics include automotive repair, business entrepreneurship, creative writing, filmmaking, painting, photography, pre-med, psychology, social work/missions, strings chamber music, vegetarian culinary arts, and women/minorities in civic engagement. Total expenses for all three days combined are $150 for day students or $200 for overnight students. To assist parents, transportation assistance from Asheville to camp and back is available. LIVING AT THE WELL Summer Prayer Retreat presented by the Carolina Conference Prayer Ministries will take place July 20 – 22 at Ridgecrest Conference Center, Ridgecrest, NC. The conference will feature keynote speaker and musical guest Kelly Mowrer. Register by July 2nd at www.carolinasda.org.

IT IS GOOD TO BE IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD! Happy Sabbath. We want to extend a special welcome back to Pastor Jerry & Barbara, and look forward to the message that God will speak through Pastor Jerry! Visitors, please stay by for our visitor’s lunch after the worship service.

PATHFINDERS & ADVENTURERS. Pathfinder will have a meeting TODAY after church at 2:00 pm. Adventurers will be going on a nature walk after church for their outdoor activity.

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR CHURCH BULLETIN must be received by the church office no later than Tuesday of next week (April 17th). The church office will open at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 17th, open on Wednesday, April 18th, and closed on Thursday, April 19th.
